Ahead of the 2015 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, Shell invited Scuderia Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen to taste an exclusive technical dish created by renowned Italian chef Guy Grossi.
Grossi took the drivers through the creation of a meticulously designed dish, which echoes the performance enhancing properties of Shell V-Power fuel.

Grossi took Vettel and Räikkönen through each component on the plate, explaining the ingredients and methods applied to ensure the drivers reach their full performance potential.
“When creating this dish, I drew on inspiration from my Italian heritage and the three key properties of Shell V-Power – the ability for the fuel to deliver more power, improve performance and instantly clean the engine,” said Guy Grossi.
“With these elements in mind, I created ‘Ravioli all’ Uovo ad alta Prestazione’, a complex egg-based pasta dish that is traditional of the home town of Enzo Ferrari, Modena.”
“I enjoyed this event, it has been a lot of fun at Ferrari so far and I have really enjoyed working with the team. I think the link to the fuel and oil is interesting – fuel has always been important and there is always a level of development but with these new generation engines we are seeing more and more power, which we love, but also more and more on the reliability side of things from the oil,” said Sebastian Vettel, Scuderia Ferrari driver.
Featuring powerful egg protein, slow release carbohydrates and zesty lemon, the drivers had the opportunity to cook and try the specially designed dish and share their preparation plans ahead of Sunday’s race.
“It’s great to do an event that is different from normal and it’s a good start to the season. I think we are in much better shape that last year and hopefully that will show in the results. We still have a lot of things to improve but so far it has all been OK,” said Kimi Räikkönen, Scuderia Ferrari driver.
“Shell’s relationship with Enzo Ferrari dates back over 60 years, and we’re proud to once again to be fuelling our Scuderia Ferrari drivers on the track and assisting in their preparation ahead of the 2015 Grand Prix,” said Paul Zennaro, Shell Head of Australian Media Relations.
“Shell’s commitment to innovation through motorsport is an integral part of our extensive research and development programme that is key to making better fuels for our customers,” said Paul Zennaro.
